SUNDAY FUNNIES: CAT CURIOSITY

Now cats are naturally curious by nature but despite that saying some of you humans have, NO feline has ever died from curiosity.

Not knowing something, maybe, but not curiosity itself.

Anyway...

When my humans watch television and I'm in the room, I'll see what's on.

Can't remember the last time anyone aired a cat food commercial or anything else of feline interest, but I do think those new Electric Cars are interesting.

I just have one question about them.

How do drivers keep from getting tangled up in everyone else's extension cords?😼

When you buy a homing pigeon, and who wants a bird when they can be with a beautiful cat?

Let meow start this one again.

When you buy a homing pigeon, does everyone have a different bird or are you all buying the same bird from the same guy who just waits until it returns from the last person he sold it to before finding a new... "customer"?

Is it true that unless you're the lead dog on a sled team, the view never changes?

I wonder how much their malpractice insurance costs?

If the Earth🌎 is really flat like some people falsely claim it is, how can those same people complain that they're going down hill after they turn 40?

Besides, if the Earth WAS flat, us cats would have pushed everything off the edges by now. 😼

If sheep🐑 wore swimsuits, would they be Lamb Bikinis?

If you have a Mercedes Benz, maybe you should have waited an hour after eating before you went swimming.

My people stayed up late to watch a bunch of movies on DVDs last night.

I'm surprised anything fits on one of those discs.

While the colors are pretty, the darn things are no bigger than the average size can of cat food.

Speaking of which, where's my dinner?

A GROSS MISCARRIAGE OF JUSTICE!

THE FOLLOWING IS AN EDITORIAL!

Truthfully, this is one editorial that I hoped would not have to be written.
On February 5, 2020 the world has witnessed one of, if not the biggest example of a gross miscarriage of justice in the 21st Century as the Republican Party controlled Senate voted to acquit fellow Republican President Donald Trump on all pending Impeachment charges!

Now, let's backtrack for a couple of moments and look at this rationally.

While the House of Representatives is currently a Democratic majority, they gathered evidence and listened to witness testimony before leveling two charges of potential Impeachment against the President.
1. Abuse of Power.
2. Obstruction of Congress (for interfering with their investigation)

Both accusations stemmed from Trump attempting to withhold foreign aid from the Ukraine unless they would investigate Democratic Presidential Candidate Joe Biden.

Although the first is FAR more serious than the second, neither could be taken lightly, and weren't by the House who continued their investigation, gathering even MORE evidence to support and prove said charges even after officially leveling/filing them.

However, it is the Senate's responsibility to actually conduct the trial, which brings us back to the present, for Senate Majority Leader and fellow Republican Mitch McConnell (among other things) refused to allow any witnesses to testify against the President!

SO WHAT NEXT?

A lot can and probably will be said on the subject in the days and weeks to come.
But first and foremost: although some will naturally be angry and upset over the verdict: violence is NOT the answer!
Yet there is one thing that the parties, the lobbyists, the career politicians, and even the President himself have all forgotten, or at least ignored over time.

In the end, it is not them who hold the power, but WE THE PEOPLE!
That's right folks!
Whether by honest votes or outside interference, every member of Congress and the President was ELECTED into office and they can be voted OUT of office too!

Between the primaries this Spring and the main election on November 3 we can get fresh people in Washington who might actually accomplish something positive for the future rather than for themselves and their "sponsors".

After all, do you really want your children and all the generations to come growing up thinking that their voice and vote, let alone justice, don't matter any more?

SUNDAY FUNNIES: THE BIG GAME 2017

Why "hike" when you can fly?

Hello Everybody! Waxy Dragon here!
Once again, it is time for "The Big Game", since I'm not an authorized sponsor, so I can't call it by its proper name.
Anyway, all I know is that the pregame show has been going on since last Monday, and kickoff for this event is scheduled to finally begin shortly.

Now, I've heard footballs sometimes referred to as "pig skins", but I hope that's not true. Some of my best friends like Porky, Petunia, and Peppa are pigs. And I mean that in a good way.

I do agree with the fact that they always try to play the game someplace that neither side calls "home", but I'll tell you one thing. Considering the average size of adult dragons, I've seen much bigger bowls than the one they're playing football in today.

And why do they call the lead guy on each side the "quarter back"? Is that all the change he has left after treating the team to lunch?

At least with the end of football season, sports widows everywhere will discover they still have husbands.
