SUNDAY FUNNIES: TIME ON MY PAWS—NO TIME FOR HUMANS?

Hello Everybody! Piper D. Katt here!

Now one thing I've had plenty of chances to study is Human Beings.
Yes, you folks.
After all, you don't think I'm sitting on that window sill sleeping EVERY time you see me, do you?😼

One thing I have figured out is that a lot of you don't seem to like going to work every day.
Having never had a job outside the house in all of my nine lives to date, I don't know whether or not that's good or bad, let alone justified.
I do know that somebody has to go out and earn my cat food and kitty litter because even if it was safe for me to go buy them myself, no store I'm aware of accepts dead mice as currency or will trade old litter for unused.

ANYWAY, I'm a pretty observant cat, and here's a few things I've noticed about Humans and their work weeks...

Despite what any calendar says, the average week seems to go Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, *BLINK*, Monday...

Maybe it would help if you folks renamed some of the days.
After Monday and Tuesday, the rest of the average week is WTF.

Some people hope their employers will start using the better European models of Employer-Employee relations because there are countries where employers really value their workers.
Then again there are other countries that... well, you're better off elsewhere.
But my point is that nowhere in this world will you find a place with 364 days of paid vacation each year and have to come into work for that one remaining day.
Of course I'm sure if a situation like that did exist, someone would already be trying to figure out how to call in sick that lone day so they could start their vacation all again the next day.😲

One worker to another: “What are your plans for the weekend?”
“I have no idea because I'm just trying to make it till five.”⌚
I can tell you from first paw experience that watching any clock does not make it or time go any faster.
I've stared at plenty of clocks with no luck as it is.

Why are Saturday and Sunday so strong?
The rest of the days are week days.
Then again, no wonder everyone complains about work days versus weekends.
Work days out number weekends 5-2!
And that's not counting whatever you do around the house when you're not at your job.

So on that note♫, I'm out of time and space for today.
Next weekend the Easter Bunny🐰 will be here for his annual guest hosting appearance and then Koda Canine returns the Sunday after that.
Take care.
STAY SAFE!😷
Have a good week and please be back here next weekend for more Sunday Funnies!PDK.
Don't blink or you'll risk missing it!😼

SUNDAY FUNNIES: A GLIMPSE AT MY LIFE, TO DATE

Hello Everyone! Koda Canine here!

Now I'll be the first to admit that I don’t know how to act my age because I’ve never been this old before.
After all, how many of you folks remember what your life was like at six months?
Anyway, my humans recently took me to get "fixed", but I'm still trying to figure out what was broken because before I went to the Vet I felt fine.
Coming back from the Vet I felt sleepy for awhile and then a little lighter after I woke up, but hopefully that isn't anything a good meal or three won't take care of.

But even though I'm still a young pup, I've already had an adventurous life so far.
I've defended my people and their/our home from plenty of stray squirrels and chipmunks.
None of those critters dare come near the house looking for a stray acorn from any of the oak trees around us.

SMILE! People will wonder what you've been up to. 😉
Yet I don't understand how come my people get to sit on the furniture and I don't?
That couch of theirs is a lot bigger and more comfortable than my dog bed!

I'm still scratching my head over this one.
During dinner the other night someone called my people.
Next thing I know, they're wanting me to bark into the phone.
I saw no reason not to, so I did.
When they hung up, the man said to the woman, "That takes care of that telemarketer."
Now what I want to know is what's a Tele and why do they need to be marked?😉

I know a lot of people who are tired of winter, but it sure beats complaining about how hot it is.

Right now if I was to write my autobiography, it'd be a short subject.
The Planter's Peanuts spokes mascot wrote his. It's entitled “My Life In A Nutshell.”

Some people claim every morning is the dawn of a new error.
Then I must be behind because I haven't heard those dreaded words "Bad Dog" once so far this month.
Then again, today's only the third of April, so who knows what the future holds?

Before I say goodbye for now, a friendly word of advice.
ALWAYS stay upwind of anyone using a manure based fertilizer!
So take care.
STAY SAFE!😷
And please be back here next weekend for more Sunday Funnies!KC.
Still looking for a Sunshine Band🌞 because it's been cloudy and rainy outside ALL DAY! 😞
