THE PUZZLE CORNER: SEPTEMBER 8, 2012

Believe it or not, today marks the 46th anniversary of the launch of the U.S.S. Enterprise on the original Star Trek television series.
AND this year also marks the 25th anniversary of the first sequel: Star Trek: The Next Generation.
So let's boldly go where no Puzzle Corner has gone before with this brief quiz.

01. Believe it or not, there WAS a Star Trek series between the two named above. What was it?
02. What NEW characters were introduced on it that could not be done on the original series?
03. Who was the first Star Trek performer to write an episode of their series?
04. Who was the first cast member of the Original Series to appear on the Next Generation?
05. What was the first Star Trek series to win an Emmy?
06. While unfortunately we have lost a few cast members over the years, who was the first character to die ON SCREEN?

We'll reveal all next weekend, but for now, let's open up THE ANSWERS BOX and discover the results of our Neil Armstrong Puzzle Corner tribute from September 1st.
