SUNDAY FUNNIES: THE WHOLE TOOTH!

Hello Everybody! Waxy Dragon here.
For those who came in late, I am a baby dragon.
That means, among other things, that the teeth I have right now are my baby teeth and that someday they will be replaced by my adult teeth.

That probably won't happen for a couple of centuries yet, but despite how much money I'll get from the Tooth Fairy for this, I'm actually in no hurry to lose my baby teeth.
In fact, I'm pretty attached to them as it is.
I brush and floss after EVERY meal.

Of course, I'd be doing this a whole lot more if I ever find out where "Bubblehead" (the human I let live with me, although he'll claim it's the other way around) hides his secret stash of Belgosian Dark Chocolate.
He thinks I think I don't know about his secret stash of Belgosian Dark Chocolate, but I do.
The problem is finding it!
Unfortunately, Bubblehead has gotten real good at hiding it on me.
Then again, they do say practice makes perfect, so he can thank me for that.

Now, where was I?
Oh yeah.
Time for some dentistry themed jokes!

A boy had his three friends come over to brush their teeth together every morning.
One of them finally got around to asking, "Explain why we have to brush our teeth together?"
The boy replied "My dentist said that brushing alone won't prevent cavities."
Of course the best time to see your dentist is BEFORE tooth hurty! (2:30)

A doctor and a dentist was vying for the hand of the same maiden.
One day, the dentist had to go to a conference for a week and gave the girl seven apples.
Why?
Because everybody knows that an apple a day keeps the doctor away.
Unless it's that guy in the blue police box. Then you just have to worry about when he shows up.

Remember, the tartar that needs to be removed from your teeth is NOT good with seafood!

And on that note♫, have a great week everybody and please be back here again next weekend for more Sunday Funnies!—wd.

SUNDAY FUNNIES: SPRINGING AHEAD

Hello Everybody! Autumn the Puppy here!
A blizzard in March? *sheesh!*
And it wasn't even one of those tasty desert treat types either. 😛

Anyway, according to the calendar, Spring is supposed to arrive tomorrow morning, March 20, and it's about time as far as I'm concerned!

My doghouse is still buried somewhere under all of this white stuff. Thankfully I'm staying with my people where it's nice and warm, but that's besides the point.
I think I might have accidentally left the front door and maybe even a window or two open the last time I was in it, so I shudder to think what the interior of my doghouse looks like now!

Anyway, I could have it far worse than some dogs I know.
For example, I am eternally grateful that I don't live further North and have to work as part of some dog sled team to earn a living.
That can get pretty boring real quick because after all, unless you're the lead dog, the view never changes and if you are the lead dog, you have to worry about all the other members of the pack nipping at your heels!

But if Spring truly is "just around the corner", where has it been all this time?

It's bad enough that Daylight Savings Time started before Spring arrived! After all, who wants to willingly get up early just to "enjoy" (note sarcastic quotes) another cold day?

Me, I prefer warm weather, green grass, flowers, the birds and the bees.
Because all of that combined only means one thing to me...

BASEBALL!

It's been quite a while since I sank my teeth into one of those tasty spheres.

And watching the games on TV is fun too, even if they don't let dogs play.

But hey, considering how many balls they go through during the course of an average game, what's a few teeth marks between friends?

In any event, have a great week everybody.
Stay warm, and please be back here again next weekend for more Sunday Funnies!—AtP.

*Washington, Hawaii, Oregon, California, Maryland, New York, and Massachusetts requested the Federal Courts to stop the impending revised immigration ban. A Hawaiian Federal Judge has since done so temporarily, stating the ban violates constitutional protections of religion, while a Maryland Federal judge has issued a ban too. A Washington judge has heard the arguments but made no ruling (yet?). The Trump administration vows to “fight all obstacles” to the revised executive order.

*Investigations into Donald Trump's possible ties to Russia and that country's possible meddling in the 2016 Presidential election are still ongoing.
*Despite the erroneous belief of one Donald Trump supporter, the Sandy Hook tragedy WAS REAL!
ON PRESIDENT TRUMP’S PROPOSED “BUDGET”...
*Unless it is part of his border wall project or military defense, President Trump’s proposed budget is seriously lacking in funds for other departments. He is already on record wanting to close both the Public Broadcasting System (PBS media) and the National Endowment for the Arts (NEA), but neither organization will sit idle in the matter. (There are 3 separate links in this item.)
*Among the programs in danger: Meals on Wheels because "it isn't showing any results".
*Fact checking time! Which programs do and don't actually work???
*Yet not every Congressional Republican is agreeing with President Trump's budget.
*"Offers" for property along the Texas/Mexico border to gain land for President Trump's wall have started being received by people, but at far below fair market value.
MEANWHILE...
*Remember the historic War of the Worlds broadcast in 1930, where Orson Wells and the Mercury Theater of the Air accidentally convinced listeners that Mars was invading Earth? Well, history repeated itself as Amazon’s fake Internet radio station to promote the upcoming third season of The Man in the High Castle was mistaken by the GOP and its supporters as a slam against Donald Trump and his administration.

HAPPY PI DAY 2017

Once again, it is March 14th.
March is the third month of the year, and today is the fourteenth.
03-14
3.14
PI!
So HAPPY PI DAY!
Personally, I prefer Chocolate Meringue, but there's also Apple, Cherry, Pumpkin, and a whole lot more to choose from.
Actually, PI is an irrational number that cannot be fully expressed as a fraction, although most scientists and mathematicians prefer to write it as 22 over 7.
It is an unique number whose exact decimal representation cannot be completely calculated because it never ends nor repeats to a scientific conclusion. The number sequence representing PI, as seen in the third image, is derived from trying to divide 22 by 7.
Pumpkin "Pi"
A long number with no(?) end in sight

In any event, HAPPY PI DAY, and don't eat too much!

SUNDAY FUNNIES: TIMELY JOKES

Time on her wings
Hello Everybody. Waxy Dragon here!

First and foremost, I hope everyone who's participating in Daylight Savings Time remembered to set their clocks ahead before they went to bed last night, otherwise you'll be an hour late to any place you have to be at today.

Of course, that also means we've lost an hour of sleep, but we allegedly regain that back this fall.

Personally, I just wish whoever came up with Daylight Savings Time would reset the clocks for me.
Most of the digital ones adjust themselves, which is great, but adjusting the manual ones takes time.
And how are you supposed to reset a sundial anyway?

Grandma Dragon has one in her backyard garden, and now it's an hour behind!

Anyway, I'll figure it out yet, but that's not why you came here, so on with the jokes!

What time is it when the clock strikes thirteen?
Time to get a new clock.

Time to get up and get going. Today's bad decisions are not going to make themselves.

Regardless of what time it is, I am not lazy, I'm on energy saving mode.

For you fans of the group Chicago:
♫Does anybody really know what time it is?♫
♫25 or 6 to 4.♫

Some people talk to you in their free time. Some people free their time to talk to you. Know the difference.

And on that note, have a great week everybody, and please be back here again next weekend for more Sunday Funnies!—wd.

INTERNATIONAL WOMEN'S DAY 2017

The following is an editorial.

Let's face it folks, even in these more "enlightened" times, the female of the species still gets the proverbial short end of the stick in many ways.

Less pay for at least the same amount of work as their male counterparts, accompanied with a higher degree of difficulty to break the legendary glass ceiling for promotions...

Attacks on their health and reproductive rights...

Even attacks on women in general out of total ignorance or the mistaken belief that they are the "inferior" gender...

IT HAS GOT TO STOP!

A woman's place is not just in the home cooking meals, raising the existing children while producing more.

There are famous women past and present (Malala Yousafzai, Ida B. Wells, Sally Ride, Ada Lovelace, etc;) but without more support from both their own gender and the male of the species, how strong and confident will the ladies of the future be?

There has been a serious, but very misguided mistake in many countries, INCLUDING the United States of America to "turn back the clock" to more simpler times with less women's rights, and it would take a lot more space than this simple editorial post to explain just how wrong that is!

But just like in many other causes, one person cannot do it alone.

PLEASE... take the time to not only treat the ladies in your life correctly, but to help educate and build confidence in our youth to show the girls of today that they are not "lesser" than anyone else, but that they can be the leaders and pioneers of the future as well!

The above was an editorial.
