SUNDAY FUNNIES: HAPPY HALLOWEEN 2021

I'm not lion. πŸ˜‰
 HELLO EVERYBODY!
Neither am I. πŸ˜‰

Today you have both Autumn the Puppy AND
Piper D. Katt here as we celebrate HALLOWEEN!πŸŽƒ

That's right Autumn. I've been looking forward to this for quite awhile now, although it would have been great last year if not for that {censored} pandemic because not only was Halloween on a Saturday night, but we had a full moonπŸŒ• as well!

Sigh. I know Piper. But there's no use crying over a spilt water dish.
We're here now and it's joke time!
Ready?

For Halloween, I am going as a “former gifted child.”
The whole costume is gonna be people asking me “What are you supposed to be?” and me saying “I was supposed to be many things.”

What is the best cheese to serve at Halloween?
Muenster!

A vampire’sπŸ§› favorite ice cream flavor is veinilla.

Doctor Frankenstein entered a body building competition and discovered he had seriously misunderstood the objective.πŸ˜‰

Ghosts'πŸ‘» favorite California city is Maliboo.

A man tells his therapist, “I’ve conquered my fear of ghosts.”
The therapist replies, “That’s the spirit.”
"What? Where?" the guy asks, as he dives under couch.

After the marriage ceremony, the spidersπŸ•·πŸ•· were newly webs.πŸ•ΈπŸ•Έ

A well dressed lupine is a wear wolf.🐺

What is a mathematician's favorite Halloween treat?
Pumpkin Pi!𝛑

On that note♫ take care!
STAY SAFE! 😷
Please Trick or Treat Carefully!
Have a great week!
And don't forget to return next weekend for more Sunday Funnies!AtP & PDK.

SUNDAY FUNNIES: ODDS AND ENDS

Hello Everybody! Autumn the Puppy here!
It's been a ruff time here at The Free Choice E-Zine while we waited for our esteemed Editor-In-Chief to return from the hospital.
For one thing, he's the only who had a key to the office, let alone knew the computer password!
But Lee's back and in time things will hopefully return to normal around here.
Which would be a vast improvement from how they were before Lee went to the hospital! πŸ˜‰
In any event myself, Piper D. Katt and the usual Free Choice Staff (Lee, himself, and him) are all happy he's home and on the road to recovery.
Unfortunately I wasn't sure exactly when that would happen, so my presentation this week is just some jokes I've dug up in the past and haven't had a chance to use yet.
But without further adieu...

If humans complain when there is a fly in their soup, do frogs🐸 complain when there isn't one?

If you boil a funny bone, does it becomes laughing stock?
If so, is it humerus?

I used to be indecisive. Now I'm not so sure.

Change is inevitable, except from a vending machine.

Nostalgia isn't what it used to be.

A red house is made of Red Bricks. A white house is made of White bricks
What is a green house made of?
Glass.

I don’t always whoop, but when I do, there it is.

And on that note♫, next weekend Piper D. Katt and I will be teaming up for our annual HALLOWEEN HUMOR, which should be especially fun since October 31πŸŽƒ is actually a Sunday this year!
So until then have a great week.
Take care.
STAY SAFE!😷
WELCOME BACK LEE!πŸ˜€
And please be here next weekend for more Sunday Funnies!—AtP.

THE FREE CHOICE E-ZINE RESUMES OPERATIONS

Dear Free Choice E-zine Readers:

Am home from the local hospital and on the (long) road to recovery.
Despite the odds being much more in my favor for the recently experienced artificial heart valve replacement procedure, compared to the aortic aneurysm back in 2007 that (among other things) implanted the valve that now needed replacing, I won't deny being scared.

This is the third time (besides the two operations above, Congestive Heart Failure back in 2003) that I have come directly face to face with my own mortality.
I will spare you all the personal details, suffice to say that while all three were not events I would have willingly experienced nor looked forward to, they all needed to be faced and dealt with so I am VERY happy to still be among the living!

But while it takes me time to get up and functioning in the morning, as well as dealing with the still consistent post-operation pain from having my chest cut open and my ribs spread apart wide enough for the cardiac surgeon to operate, The Free Choice E-Zine is preparing to resume operations.

October 23 will see the return of both The Puzzle Corner (including the answers to the October 9 edition, the last one published before my hospitalization) and The Week In Review, covering the news of October 17-23, 2021.
Then The Sunday Funnies will resume the next day with the October 24 edition.

This E-zine is basically a one man operation, so I thank everyone for their kindness, understanding, patience and concerns while I was away.

ON MEDICAL LEAVE

Dear Free Choice E-zine Readers:

Afraid I will be away from my computer and this E-zine for awhile as I enter the hospital for another heart operation.

Back in early 2007 I was rushed into the Emergency Room and stayed for almost a month because of an aortic aneurysm.

Part of the procedure was receiving a new heart valve. I've gotten 14 good years out of it but for some reason the part is starting to develop calcium deposits and needs to be replaced with a new and better model before the problem becomes a life threatening situation.

I will be gone roughly a week to ten days.

Then I will be back home on personal recovery for at least 4-6 weeks afterwards in between Doctor's appointments.

Once the pain killers are out of my system and I can sit and think coherently again, I WILL be back at my computer taking care of this E-zine!

Until then...

Take care and STAY SAFE!😷

SUNDAY FUNNIES: THINGS I'VE LEARNED WATCHING HUMANS

Hello Everybody! Piper D. Katt here!
Once again, I'm back with another in depth look at you humans from the feline perspective.
You say us cats are inquisitive by nature, and that's certainly true.
Especially in regards to the people we love.
And I've learned a lot watching people, so without further adieu...

Money can't buy happiness, but—
It sure makes misery easier to live with.
It's much nicer to cry in a Maserati than in a VW Bug.

When a human claims it wasn't another person's fault, why do they still blame that person anyway?
And to think I'm always told "Don't play with your food!"

Exactly what IS Cauliflower?
It's not a flower nor a flour?

KNOWLEDGE is knowing a tomato is a fruit.
WISDOM is not putting a tomato in a fruit salad.

When filling out any job application, where it says, 'In case of emergency, notify:' , the correct answer is "DOCTOR!"
Or VET in my case.πŸ˜‰

Why does every anchor begin the evening news with 'Good Evening,' then proceed to tell you why it isn't?

To steal ideas from one person is plagiarism.
To steal from many is research.

War does not determine who is right, only who is left.

Since light travels faster than sound, some people appear bright until you hear them speak.

Then again, us cats never speak unless we have something important to say, but we're still waiting for a lot of you to finally listen to us.

On that note♫ take care.
STAY SAFE!😷
And please be back again next time for more Sunday Funnies!PDK.

SUNDAY FUNNIES: CELEBRITY COMMENTARY

Hello Everybody! Autumn the Puppy here!
Something I haven't done in a MIGHTY LONG time is Celebrity Quotes!
Don't know how I managed to avoid the topic for so long, but it's time to take care of that. Especially with so much going on in the world🌎 right now.
As usual, my thoughts will be after the actual quotes. Ready?

"Truth is stranger than fiction, but that is because fiction is obliged to stick to possibilities. Truth isn’t."—Author Mark Twain (aka Samuel Langhorne Clemens) 1835-1910.
Truth also sticks to these stubborn little things called FACTS that some people don't like.

“The difference between stupidity and genius is that genius has its limits.” – Albert Einstein, 1879-1955.
Unfortunate, but true. Look at Wile E Coyote.πŸ˜‰

“War teaches Americans geography.” – Author Ambrose Bierce,1842-1914.
Though you'd think War would be a better instructor of Peace.

“My opinions may have changed, but not the fact that I’m right.” –  Cartoonist Ashleigh Brilliant, born 1933.
♫Nobody's right, if everybody's wrong.♫ From "For What It's Worth" by Buffalo Springfield.

“The surest sign that intelligent life exists elsewhere in the universe is that it has never tried to contact us.” – Cartoonist Bill Watterson, born 1958.
They may have visited, but they never stay. Why? With a nod to Douglas Adams, we have plenty of towels.

“As a child, my family’s menu consisted of two choices: take it or leave it.” –  Comedic Actor Buddy Hackett, 1924-2003.
The same holds true for a lot of folks and sadly, not by choice.

“It would be nice to spend billions on schools and roads, but right now that money is desperately needed for political ads and other lobbying tactics.” – Comedy writer Andy Borowitz, born 1958.
TAKE A HINT POLITICIANS!

On that note♫, have a great week everybody!
Take care.
STAY SAFE!😷
And please be back here again next weekend for more Sunday Funnies!AtP.
