SUNDAY FUNNIES: ♫SMILE, DARN YA, SMILE♫

HELLO EVERYBODY! WAXY DRAGON HERE!
For those who came in late—Autumn the Puppy and I have taken it upon ourselves to attempt cheering📣 everyone up as this stupid virus crisis continues.
Of course, if necessary, I look much better in a skirt and holding a pair of pom poms than she does. 😉
You can find my and her first efforts at this by clicking the links.

Anyway, while this is absolutely nothing to take lightly, we must keep our spirits up because it's way too easy to be or become depressed in these troubled times.

But it appears that Autumn and I are far from the only ones attempting this.
Neil Diamond got into the act with a new version of ♫Sweet Caroline♫!

Of course, this also brings up the subject of how to talk to your children about all of this, so here's one person's advice on that subject.

But this wouldn't be the Sunday Funnies without some jokes, so...

I am not sure how many cookies🍪 it takes to be happy?
I'm at 37 and still hungry.
Then again, I know I'd never get my full if we were discussing Belgosian Dark Chocolate!🍫

What has 4 wheels and flies?
A garbage truck.

A man opens a bottle🍾 and a genie appears!
The Genie🧞 says, “I shall grant you three wishes.”
The man👨 replies, “I wish a world without lawyers.”
The Genie says, “Done.  You have no more wishes.”
The man complains, “But you said I had three wishes.”
The Genie replies, “So sue me.”

Now then, I have one last video to share with everyone today.
The song is also the title of this week's post, and dates all the way back to the original Looney Tunes and Merry Melodies in the 1930s before being reused in a more modern classic.
It was good advice then and definitely good advice today. So...

Take care everybody!
STAY SAFE!
And please be back online again next time for more Sunday Funnies!wd.

All videos courtesy of YouTube.
The Free Choice E-zine didn't create, post, or own any of them. We're simply sharing to attempt cheering everyone up.

SUNDAY FUNNIES: CHEER LEADING!

HANG IN THERE!
Hello Everybody! Autumn the Puppy here!
Now Waxy Dragon had a tough position leading off last weekend, but she did have the right idea.
Given the current virus crisis, everyone should do their part to lend a hand (or paw) and help each other where we can, even if it's just to contact a shut in by phone or Internet and see how they're doing.
And considering Waxy and my forte is comedy...
We've taken it upon ourselves to try to cheer📣 everybody up each Sunday the best we can.
Not that we weren't funny before, but you know what I mean.

I'm not sure who exactly to thank for it, but I found the funniest virus themed meme while surfing the Internet recently...

And people think I stink???

What kind of shorts do clouds⛅ wear?
Thunderwear.🌪

The lumberjack loved his new computer.💻
He enjoyed logging on and got great at hacking.😏

Scientists have figured out the speed of light,💡 but how come they've yet to calculate the speed of dark?⚫

I saw our neighbor fill his canoe🛶 with ice cream🍦 and Coca-Cola. Kind of strange, but whatever floats his boat.

Now then, I've been seriously thinking about how to end this post.
Waxy had a couple of great video clips last week that should not go unheeded.
But while we may need to keep a physical distance to help try preventing the spread of this disease, that doesn't mean we can't be together where it matters most. Therefore...

Remember: Despite the physical distances and various personal opinions we might have, we are ALL in this together!
Until the next Sunday Funnies, take care everybody!—AtP.

♫Lean On Me♫ performed and copyrighted by Bill Withers.
The Free Choice E-zine did not originate the video, only shared it with our readers via YouTube.

SAINT PATRICK'S DAY 2020

Ah. Happy Saint Patrick's Day me fine lads and lassies.

Of course, I've recently discovered that March 17 is also Saint Gertude's Day. Patrick may have driven the snakes out of Ireland, and I haven't seen any of those reptiles around lately meself, but Gertude is the Patron Saint of Cats🐱, but please don't call her a crazy cat lady. Them felines be fine animals.

In any event, Larry the Leprechaun here, pausing to celebrate with everyone as part of all the events on my long agenda for today.
Of course, said agenda has been seriously altered by that COVID-19 Virus, but even we leprechauns know how important one's health is not only to themselves and their loved ones, but the rest of the world🌍 as well.

First off, in case any of you are wondering, leprechauns are lucky, under certain circumstances. But ever since that one bloke hooked up with that cereal company, none of the rest of us can come right out and call ourselves lucky.

Anyway, whether you prefer cats🐱 or shamrocks🍀, today be Saint Patrick's Day, where even those who cannot claim any ancestry to the Emerald Isle be Irish today as we honor the great Saint Patrick himself. You'll have to talk to whoever is in charge of calendars to find out why Gertude doesn't even get mentioned.

While the day first began as purely a religious observance during Lent, it has certainly grown beyond anyone's imagination to become a holiday of anything and everything Irish, whether it be legend or fact.
However, that does not prevent me from telling everyone some fine Irish inspired humor.

What's Irish and stays outside in your yard all the time?
Patty O'Furniture.

Why did good Saint Patrick drive the snakes🐍 out of Ireland?
Because it was too far for them to walk.

Why should you never iron a four leaf clover?
Because ye don't want to press your luck.

What do you call a fake stone in Ireland?
A sham rock.
Of course, music wise, some of us leprechauns really like shamrock and roll🎵.

What kind of bow cannot be tied?
A rainbow.🌈

What does it mean when you find a horseshoe?
Some poor horse🐎 is walking around bare foot!

Why do frogs🐸 love Saint Patrick's Day?
Because they're already green.

And now, before I must part company with all ye fine people, let me pause to wish everyone the best in life. Until we meet again...

May the road rise up to meet ye to ease your travels
May the wind always be at your back to make the journey quicker
May the sun shine warm upon your face to make your trip more comfortable
May the rains fall softly upon your fields to make your crops more bountiful.
May a rainbow always follow the rain.
May your needs never meet lack.
And may the hand of a friend always be within reach.

HAPPY SAINT PATRICK'S DAY!
HAPPY SAINT GERTUDE'S DAY!

If you're able to do so today, please party responsibly.
Then again, while alcohol isn't needed to do so,
life should be celebrated EVERY day!

SUNDAY FUNNIES: ♫UNDER PRESSURE♫

I can do this. I CAN DO THIS!

HELLO EVERYBODY! WAXY DRAGON HERE!
Okay, let's stop and face facts for a moment.
No matter who says what, this COVID-19, also known as the Coronavirus is no laughing matter!

There's a big run on just about everything at the stores right now.
Even Belgosian Dark Chocolate! 🍫 *gasp!*

Schools and other things are temporarily closed.
Sports fans aren't happy about games being either delayed or cancelled but even hoarders aren't having a good time!
What's a baby companion dragon to do?

Drop back and punt! Seriously though, I may be ♫under pressure♫
and there's the perfect song cue! 😏

But as they say, the show goes on.

Why do EMTs travel in groups of two?
Because they want to be a pair of medics.

If they don’t expect me to dance in the aisles at grocery stores, why do they play music?

The COVID-19/Coronavirus Pandemic, Daylight Savings Time, Friday the 13th and a Full Moon all in the same week....
Who’s playing Jumanji?

Seriously though.
There is a LOT going on in the world right now, and it's VERY IMPORTANT to listen to your doctor's advice.
Especially this one...

With that in mind, take care everybody!
Be safe and please be back here again next weekend for more Sunday Funnies!wd.
