MEMORIAL DAY, 2025

 The following is an editorial.

Every Memorial Day I post an editorial in regards to the brave men and women who are serving or have served within the various branches of the United States Military Forces.

Especially those who either willingly gave or lost their life to defend this country from those who would see it conquered and its freedoms squashed.

I have also spoken in recent years about the growing instances of physical violence which have resulted in the deaths of innocents both here and abroad.

Why these events happen and spawn from everything from minor disagreements to major issues without reaching a peaceful accord is beyond me.

Perhaps the worse, in my humble opinion, is just Mankind's inhumanity to their fellow human beings.

Different religious beliefs, different sexual and/or gender viewpoints, even comparing and contrasting the social or financial status of individuals could possibly create a conflict.

Yet regardless of the reason(s) why versus the success or failure of actually preventing something bad from happening, there is one thing above all else that we must never lose.

I've done this twice before but it's time once again for some more Chuck Norris Chuckles.

The Martial Arts Master turned Actor somehow became the subject of jokes throughout the years and he doesn't seem to mind the humor.

In any event, while the accompanying images are repeats the jokes are new.

Ready?

 Chuck Norris can turn invisible, but only when no one is looking. 

Chuck Norris once strangled a bad guy with a cordless phone.

Facebook deleted Chuck Norris’ account, so Chuck Norris deleted Facebook.

Chuck Norris ran an entire marathon backwards so he could see what second place looked like. 

Chuck Norris had a fight with himself. He won. 

Yet if Chuck Norris' reflection and shadow fought, would would lose?

During the historic Apollo 11 mission, Buzz Aldrin and Neil Armstrong walked on the moon.

Chuck Norris called NASA and told them to get off his lawn.

Chuck Norris learned that Nothing could kill him, so he tracked Nothing down and killed it first.

Chuck Norris can never fill out an online form because he will never submit.

Chuck Norris can rub two ice cubes together to start a fire.

Before we go, while other countries have their own version, Memorial Day in the United States was originally created to honor those who have or are currently serving within the various branches of the military.

Especially those who gave their lives defending this country.

Contrary to the belief of some, it is not the start of Summer nor a reason for retailers to hold a big sales event.

So please take a moment May 27 to thank those that made it possible to still have your picnic, cookout, ballgame or whatever.
