SUNDAY FUNNIES: CANDID CAT

Hi Everybody! Piper D. Katt here! Don't I look photogenic?
Us cats love to get our photo taken, as long as you don't shove the camera directly in our face or ask for an autograph afterwards.
With that in mind, I'd like to share with you some candid cat photos. Ready?

When the weather allows him to be out and about, my Uncle George thinks he's a might jungle cat, ready to pounce upon any unsuspecting prey. Unfortunately unless he's in the right tree, he's too easy to spot, as indicated in the picture below.

Of course my sister Sally is a bit more practical when it comes to hunting. When she is allowed out, she finds a good place to catch mice.
I've never asked Sally what she does with the mice after she catches them, but everyone keeps warning me not to eat at her place after she has had a successful hunt.

Some people claim that a cat will sleep anywhere.
That's not exactly true.
Cats will only sleep anywhere that's actually comfortable.
Then again, some feline's idea of comfort differ.
Like the example on the right shows.

Believe it or not, cats DO dream, and not always about what their next meal might be or where their next nap will happen. As seen below, Aunt Astrid has high ambitions for her future. Whether or not she'll be able to make her dreams come true within her nine lives remains to be seen, but I wish her well.

And before this post is over, I can't forget this perennial favorite below.
This photo was first posted long before I started working for The Free Choice E-zine, so the cute little unknown kitten who posed for the image is probably well into their cathood by now.
Yet you can still see the quizzical smile on the kitten's muzzle as it asks that eternal question: "I caught the mouse. Now what do I do with it?"

So on that note♫ take care.
STAY SAFE! 😷
Have a great week and please be back next weekend for more Sunday Funnies!PDK.

WOKE?

 The following is an editorial.

Some Republicans and their followers/supporters have been using the word Woke in a negative way to describe those who disagree with their opinions and beliefs, but just what does the word actually mean?

Among the definitions of Woke are:
Conscious. Not asleep. Awake. Alert. Aware of everything around you. Well informed.

So if you are against bigotry and hatred.
If you are against senseless violence.
If you want to see a peaceful and legal end to mass shootings that involves more than just "thoughts and prayers".
If you want to improve the environment in hopes that your grandchildren's grandchildren have a chance of living upon a habitable Earth.
If you just want the world to become a better place overall than it is now.
Then I guess you are

Weary
Of
Krazy
Emotions.

So what's wrong with that?

SUNDAY FUNNIES: WELL, DOGGIE!

 Hey Everyone! Koda Canine here!
Just enjoying a tummy rub from one of my people. I've got them well trained. 😉
It's another miserable day weather wise outside, so I'm enjoying the creature comforts of the great indoors. But you didn't come here to watch me have fun, so on with the jokes!

One day last week I managed to get out of the yard and one of my people had to chase me in their underwear before I got too far.
They're still wondering how I got in their underwear to begin with!

Humans complain about us animals licking everything that needs cleaning.
Why? I know where my tongue's been.
What about you folks washing your hands?
You don’t wash your hands.
Your hands wash each other and you just stand there staring and watching, like some kind of peeping tom.
If you've seen them wash each other once, you've seen every past and future performance of the deed as well, so why keep looking?
Are fezes still cool?

Remember, if you wear spectacles,👓 always make sure they are clean.
You can’t be optimistic if you have misty optics.

If Sherlock Holmes' Watson isn't the most famous Doctor, then Who is?
Personally, I like them both. Neither have ever approached me with a thermometer that they want to stick somewhere a thermometer shouldn't go.

To say I am awesome is an insult.
It is saying I only have some awe.
I am full of awe, but I am not awful.

A Wishbone, A Back bone and a Funny bone are all you need to survive.
So on that note♫ take care.
STAY SAFE!😷
And please be back next weekend for more Sunday Funnies!KC.

VALENTINE'S DAY 2023

The following is an editorial.

💕 TODAY IS VALENTINE'S DAY!💕

Much has been said about love.
A lot good.
Some negative.
Most of the latter in regards to who is in love.

In the beginning, the bias used to be religious based.
Then in regards to nationality and/or skin color.
Now it's a gender issue.
Two men.
Two women.
Does it really matter?

As long as both parties are consenting adults who are not harming either themselves or someone else and are truly happy together...
The above was an editorial.

SUNDAY FUNNIES: OF HEARTS AND FOOTBALLS, 2023 EDITION

HELLO EVERYBODY!

Today you have both Piper D. Katt AND Koda Canine with you as we discuss both the Super Bowl—what a food dish that would be—that's played later today and Valentine's Day💕, which is this Tuesday February 14.

That's right Piper. You know, Love is a funny thing, but nothing to laugh at.
Yet here we are, about to tell jokes about both it and that big football🏈 game the humans are having.
Personally, I don't see what the attraction is. That ball is such an odd shape and probably doesn't tastes good to begin with.

Yeah, and since we’re not an official $pon$or, we can’t use the game's actual name any more in this post.
But that’s not going to stop the jokes folks. So let’s get right to them!
First up, a tradition began with our late mentor Autumn "the Puppy".

She initiated our annual Big Game video presentation of Andy Griffith’s comedy classic “What It Was, Was Football”, accompanied with the illustrations from Mad magazine's 1958 adaptation by George Woodbridge, courtesy of YouTube.

Now as we said earlier, love is no laughing matter, although there are plenty of people who do joke about it.
One of those is the great "Weird" Al Yankovic, as shown in his song ♫If That Isn't Love?♫ from the Alpocalypse album.

And remember folks. We didn't create the videos or the material within, let alone post them on YouTube. We're only sharing them with our fans.

That's right. As for love itself, let us quote someone more famous than ourselves about the subject, as seen in the image on the right.

So on that note♫, take care.
STAY SAFE! 😷
And one of us will be back next weekend with more Sunday Funnies!PDK and KC.
