SUNDAY FUNNIES: WHAT'S IN A NAME?

 Hello Everybody! Koda Canine here!
Our beloved mentor Autumn "The Puppy" just loved the Internet and was always joking about what she could "dig up" to share with you.

Well, the other day I finally found the courage to check her old computer to see what might be on there and I found this. It was a bit about weird town names that Autumn never got around to using.

So in classic canine comedy tradition, I'm going to post the name and then comment afterwards. Ready?

From the United States of America...
WHY, ARIZONA.
I've never been there, but why not?

TRUTH OR CONSEQUENCES, NEW MEXICO.
Someone must have really loved the game show to name a town after it.

PIE TOWN, NEW MEXICO.
I guess whoever named that one loved the dessert. Either that or was a mathematician. ๐…

NOTHING, ARIZONA.
While the sign IS in an appropriate spot, there has to be something else around there to officially designate a town.

๐Ÿ”CHICKEN, ALASKA.
I'd like mine medium well please.

๐Ÿฅš๐ŸฅšTWO EGG, FLORIDA.
I thought there were 12 in a dozen.
But between these two places, which came first?

NOWHERE, OKLAHOMA.
Is it a sister city to NOTHING, ARIZONA? Either way, I'd like to think they were being factious naming these two places.

GOBBLER'S KNOB, PENNSYLVANIA, home to Punxsutawney Phil.
You can make your own jokes about the groundhog, but whatever happened to the turkey๐Ÿฆƒ the place was named after?

BIRD IN HAND, PENNSYLVANIA.
Well, trying to hold a groundhog does get tiring after awhile even if you only do it one day out of an entire year.

RABBIT HASH, KENTUCKY.
No thanks. Even I'm not that hungry!

BORING, OREGON, sister city to DULL, SCOTLAND.
Considering how life is in some of the more major metropolises of the world, I wouldn't complain too much about having some peace and quiet.

FRANKENSTEIN, MISSOURI.
Must be a really fun place around Halloween! ๐ŸŽƒ

And in other parts of the world...๐ŸŒ
LOST, SCOTLAND.
Scotland lost? In what game? I certainly can't imagine that.

NOWHERE ELSE, AUSTRALIA.
You just have to love that town spirit when they admit they can't picture a better place than where they are.

A quick check of the Internet revealed there are a LOT more than just what that article named, but I'll save them for another time.
Meanwhile take care.
STAY SAFE!๐Ÿ˜ท
And please be back here next weekend for more Sunday Funnies!KC.

SUNDAY FUNNIES: NEWS?

Peek a boo! It's me, Piper D. Katt here, looking up at my people reading their newspaper and wondering what all the fuss is about.

I hear them talking about this "bad story" and that "tragic news".
If the article is about bad stuff to begin with, then why read it?

Anyway, some of the stuff they're discussing leaves me scratching my head and wondering what's going on.
Like...

"COWS๐Ÿ„๐Ÿฎ LOSE THEIR JOBS AS MILK PRICES DROP"
It's not the cows fault. Besides, while I love milk, I can't help it if cats are lactose intolerant!

"BREATHING OXYGEN LINKED TO STAYING ALIVE"
You think? Rest, food and water are important too but you can go longer without those three than you can without air.

"FEDERAL AGENTS RAID GUN SHOP, FIND WEAPONS"
Well duh. What were they supposed to find? Now if they ever plan to raid a cat food factory, CALL MEOW!๐Ÿ˜ผ

All the news black, white, and read
"MURDERER SAYS DETECTIVE RUINED HIS REPUTATION"
Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't that the detective's job? To catch the guilty.

"RED TAPE HOLDS UP NEW BRIDGES"
Gee, shouldn't they be using something stronger to build those bridges with?

"STATE PLANS TO PLAN STRAGETIC PLAN"
That's nice, but for what?

"PLACES WITH BROKEN ACS ARE HOT"
Now there's a known fact Captain Obvious.
Never a good thing, ESPECIALLY during summer!

"METEORITE MAY BE FROM OUTER SPACE"
Well, I don't think you can buy them in any stores.

So on that note♫ take care folks.
STAY SAFE!๐Ÿ˜ท
Have a great week and please be back again next weekend for more Sunday Funnies!PDK.
