SUNDAY FUNNIES: HAPPY NATIONAL PUZZLE DAY!

Hello Everybody! Autumn the Puppy here!
Did you know that today's National Puzzle Day here in the United States?
Don't worry, until I saw the calendar, I didn't either, but let's celebrate with some funny riddles. Ready?

What is the one thing you own but everyone else uses more than you? Your name.

What asks an important question, but never answers it?
An owl. "Who?"

What has rivers with no water, forests with no trees, and cities with no buildings?
A map.

I am the beginning of the end,
And the end of time and space.
I am essential to creation
and I surround every place.
What am I?
The Letter E, but extra points to anyone who replied "The Doctor".

You leave home, make three left turns and come back to discover two men waiting for you.
What happened?
You hit a home run in baseball, because the two men are the catcher and the home plate umpire.

If you're in a race and pass the runner in second place, what position are you in now.
Second place, because the person you passed is now in third.
But be careful, because just when you thought you were winning the rat race, along come faster rats!

Take me for a spin and I'll make you cool, but use me in winter and you're a fool.
What am I? A fan.

You can easily feel me but not see me.
You can throw me out, but I never go away.
What am I?
Your back.

You bury me when I'm alive and dig me up when I'm dead.
What am I? A plant.

And on that note, have a great week everybody and please be back here again next weekend for more Sunday Funnies!—AtP.

SUNDAY FUNNIES: JOKE CLEARANCE (misc. jokes)

Hello Everybody! Waxy Dragon here!
Just cleaning out my cave to make room for all the new jokes I'll be telling this year, so that means some of these oldies but goodies I never got to tell in 2016 have to go.
But never one to let a good (or bad) joke go to waste, I thought I'd share them with you. Ready?

Two high powered antennas met on a roof, fell in love and got married. The wedding ceremony wasn't much, but the reception was great!

Two cannibals are eating a clown when one turns to the other and asks, "Does this taste funny to you?"

How do you know if you've ever met the Invisible Man?

Two fish were having a great time when they accidentally swam into a concrete wall. One turns to the other while rubbing its sore head with his fin and said "Dam!"
"No cursing honey," replied his mate.

I went to a disco last week that specializes in serving seafood.
Had a great time, but I think I pulled a mussel from dancing so much.

Two guys sitting in a kayak in the middle of winter got cold and tried to start a fire.
Of course it sank. While the guys are okay, that just proves that you can't have your kayak and heat it too.
The loser

A computer once won 10 straight games of checkers against me, but lost against my sledgehammer.

I went to the beach the other day and discovered my scream is exactly the same whether a piece of seaweed touches my paw in the water or the snack bar is out of Belgosian Dark Chocolate.

And on that note, have a great week everybody and please be back here again next weekend for more Sunday Funnies.—wd.

SUNDAY FUNNIES: REMEMBER...?

LONG memory
Hello Everybody! Autumn the Puppy here with my first Sunday Funnies of 2017.
Where has the time gone?
Seems just like yesterday I started working here.
Actually, it was probably the day before, but anyway, lot of good memories here.

A fax machine
The times they are a changing and may you live in interesting times are two classic fortune cookie sayings, and a nice set up for me to look back at some things of the past.

Remember fax machines???
After the Telex (and that's going WAY back), they were the quickest way to send hard copies of documents over the phone lines before the Internet was developed.
Of course, that was provided you didn't mind tying up your phone line and you didn't run out of toner and paper from all the spam messages you received before the important stuff was actually sent!

Remember when you gave your kids or grandchildren money to buy themselves a gift?
True, you did it because either they were far away or you didn't know what to get them to begin with.
Nowadays, it's got to be either store gift cards, direct deposit, or "Pay Pal".
Isn't it supposed to be the thought that counts?

Facebook, Twitter, texting, e-mails.
Remember when people actually TALKED to each other?

Remember when the concept of color television was just wishful thinking?
Now we have TV sets as big as oil paintings hanging on our walls, but what happened to the art?

And on that note, have a great week everybody and please be back here again next weekend for more Sunday Funnies!—AtP.

SUNDAY FUNNIES: KICKING OFF THE NEW YEAR (misc. jokes)

Okay. It is the first Sunday Funnies of the new year.
I'll flip this coin into the air and the one who accurately calls how it will land gets to host first to start the new rotation.
Ready?
(coin sails into the air)
Heads.
Tails.
(coin falls down and lands on the desk top)
And the winner is...

Hello Everybody! Waxy Dragon here!
I've been stockpiling jokes for the last couple of weeks now, so let's kick off 2017 with a good laugh.

I once held the door open for a clown. It was a nice jester.

My life has a superb cast, but I can't figure out the plot.

To the person who invented zero. Thanks for nothing.

Stop worrying about making a spelling mistake or you'll become a typochondriac.

I went to a really emotional wedding last week. Even the cake was in tiers.

Because of the drastic extremes the world is experiencing now from climate change, it is REALLY cold this winter!
How cold is it?
It is so cold, cows are giving ice cream!
"Now that's udderly ridiculous!"

I had a fight with my alarm clock.
It wanted me to get up and I disagreed.
Things got violent.
Now the clock is broken and I am awake.
In all honesty, I'm not sure who won.

And on that note, have a great week everybody and please be back here again next weekend for more Sunday Funnies!—wd.
