SUNDAY FUNNIES: CATTY CELEBRITY CITINGS: AUGUST 2025

Hello Everybody! Piper D. Katt here!
I have absolute no idea how I ended up opening August instead of closing July, but it works out in my favor since August 8 is International Cat🐈 Day!
So this installment of Catty Celebrity Citings is going to be all about your favorite felines, including meow.
As usual, a real quote from an actual celebrity past or present will be followed by a witty comment from yours truly.
Ready?

"In ancient times, cats were worshipped as gods. They have never forgotten that."~~Famous author Terry Prachett, creator of the Discworld series.
You're darn right we've never forgotten. Now what about my neck rub and bubble bath?

"There are two means of refuge from the miseries of life. Music and cats."~~Famous physician and humanitarian Albert Schweitzer.
That's why cats sing Albert. Now don't forget to knead the tension out of my shoulders gentlemen.

"Way down deep, we're all motivated by the same urges in life. Cats just have the courage to live by them."~~Jim Davis, creator of Garfield.
Unlike your famous cat, I've never developed a taste for lasagna but otherwise I totally agree Jim. Why can't people be more like cats?

"Cats are connoisseurs of comfort."~~James Herriot, pen name of the famous veterinarian who wrote All Creatures Great and Small.
Everyone suggests you should stop and smell the roses.🌹🌹 Cats actually sleep in the garden with them during good weather days and enjoy the outdoors too.

"I had been told that the training procedure with cats was difficult. It's not. Mine had me trained in two days."~~Comedian Bill Dana.
Good Human. Now, what's the status on that bubble bath? I shouldn't have to lick myself clean every time I'm dirty.

"Cats rock. They are smart, cunning, naughty and very loving."~~Fearne Cotton, English Broadcaster.
Now there's a lady who knows where it's at.
Bet she has at least a few cats in her household.

"I love cats because I enjoy my home and little by little, cats become its visible soul."~~French director Jean Cocteau.
Cats make a home, and we make ourselves at home. With the right human companions and the right feline company, it is a wonderful life for both of us.

So on that note♫, take care.
STAY SAFE!
Have a great week, and please be back next weekend for more Sunday Funnies!—PDK.
Hope the bubble bath water isn't too warm. My fur is sensitive. And don't forget my rubber ducky!🦆
