The following is an editorial.
Especially those who either willingly gave or lost their life to defend this country from those who would see it conquered and its freedoms squashed.
I have also spoken in recent years about the growing instances of physical violence which have resulted in the deaths of innocents both here and abroad.
Why these events happen and spawn from everything from minor disagreements to major issues without reaching a peaceful accord is beyond me.
Perhaps the worse, in my humble opinion, is just Mankind's inhumanity to their fellow human beings.
Different religious beliefs, different sexual and/or gender viewpoints, even comparing and contrasting the social or financial status of individuals could possibly create a conflict.
Yet regardless of the reason(s) why versus the success or failure of actually preventing something bad from happening, there is one thing above all else that we must never lose.
