In my capacity as Editor-In-Chief of The Free Choice E-zine, I'm always asked questions and I try to answer what I can as honestly as possible.
Yet there is one set of inquiries that occur on a regular basis, especially every June for some reason(s), that I have never bothered to answer before now.
Basically, they have to do with people wondering what my sexual and gender preferences are.
The first thought that always crosses my mind on this subject is: DOES IT MATTER?
If so, I don't see how or why.
There is too much political, social, financial, and other divisions trying to happen nowadays as it is.
It seems like every time you turn around something else wants to divide us when the world should be united in common causes like fighting the COVID pandemic, ensuring world peace for now and future generations, or improving the climate/environment so there even is a world to live in.
But if you folks really want or need to know...
I AM SUPPORTIVE BUT STRAIGHT.
I was born male. Identify as male and I will still be a man long after I pass away, no matter what anyone else might think of me.
I will be the first to admit that I don't fully comprehend all the various labels and terms, especially why they exist to begin with.
You are who you are and as William Shakespeare said, "To thine own self be true."
As long as you're happy and not hurting either yourself or anyone else, it doesn't matter to me.
Your personal and private life is just that. Personal AND private.
Let me close with two last quotes, both from a famous science fiction franchise.
I fully support INFINITE DIVERSITY IN INFINITE COMBINATIONS,
so LIVE LONG AND PROSPER.
