As usual, an actual quote from a real celebrity past or present is followed by a (hopefully) witty response from meow.
Ready?
"In the Beginning, the universe was created. This made a lot of people very angry and has been widely regarded as a bad move." ~~ Author Douglas Adams, best known for the Hitchhikers' Guide to the Galaxy series.
Well Douglas, that's probably because everyone around at the time was hoping to have a say in the matter. I shudder to think of the end results if that actually happened.
"The first thing I do when I wake up in the morning is to check the obituaries. If my name is not there, I fix breakfast." ~~ Famed comedian George Burns.
Say George, why not skip the depressing news and just go for the meal? It works for us cats.
"However much you deny the truth, the truth goes on existing." ~~ Author George Orwell, famous for 1984, Animal Farm and other works.
I know what you mean. I keep telling the people who still think the Earth is flat that if that were true, us cats probably would have knocked everything off of it by now.😼
When the brilliant scientist Albert Einstein released his work, it was mentioned there were a hundred books published trying to prove he was wrong. He said "If I was wrong, it really only would have taken one."
And there are things Einstein thought of that people are still trying to figure out. Then again, us wise cats know the answers, but we're sworn to secrecy. OOPS! I shouldn't have even mentioned that. Moving on...
"Never follow a leader who is more in love with power than people." ~~ Native American Proverb.
Wise words indeed. Too bad there are people in this world who won't listen and heed them.
"They call it The American Dream because you have to be asleep to believe it." ~~ Famous comedian George Carlin.
How did I manage to get three Georges in this post?
Anyway, while the Dream may have become a bit tarnished and battered over the years, it's still worth believing and striving for.
So on that note♫, take care.
STAY SAFE!
