SUNDAY FUNNIES: HAPPY VALENTINES' DAY 2016!

"Woof!"
(roar)
Hello Everybody!

Once again, you have both Autumn the Puppy AND Waxy Dragon together again to celebrate one of our favorite holidays.

Valentines Day!

Love is a many splendored thing.

It's what makes the world go round.

It's all you need, and the world is desperately in need of all it can get!

If you haven't guessed by now, Love is one of the few things we DON'T joke about.

But all the candy hearts and flowers, kisses and wishes, are meaningless unless someone is right beside you all the way.
Valentines Day is just a holiday on the calendar. Love is all day, every day. Even when you're spitting mad and the zingers are flying back and forth.
Because love isn't about diamonds, chocolates, roses, and smooches. It's about digging in together and facing the tough times as well as the smooth sailing ones.
It's about talking as well as listening, and caring enough to share. It's about trusting someone enough to let go of the rope and jump in up to your eyebrows in a new experience. It's about the quiet times, and the boisterous ones where you can't do more than share a glance across the room. It's about people helping each other cope.

At least, that's how it's supposed to work.

So be with the one in your heart and show them how you feel.
Today and EVERY day!

The Sunday Funnies will return next weekend.—AtP and wd.

Women can alter their voices to be more alluring, attractive, seductive, etc.; but men can't!

HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY EVERYONE.
TODAY'S PUZZLE CORNER IS CELEBRATING THAT, AND THE FACT THAT MONDAY IS PRESIDENTS DAY HERE IN THE UNITED STATES.

THE LETTER SHUFFLE
The heart seeks love, but how many new words can you make from the letters in the word VALENTINE?

PRESIDENTIAL FAMOUS FIRST QUIZ
Can you name the first United States President...
01. To physically live in the White House?
02. To work in the Oval Office? (The West Wing, where it resides, was a later addition to the structure.)
03. To marry while in office?
04. To remarry while in office?
05. To see their child actually born in the White House?

We'll reveal all next weekend.
But for now, let's open up THE ANSWERS BOX and reveal the results of the February 7, 2015 Puzzle Corner.

TRIVIA TIME
Last week's Fun Fact revealed that George Washington never actually had any wooden teeth. In that case, what were his false teeth made of?
Considering dental science wasn't as advanced back then as it is today, he had sets of false teeth made from gold, ivory, and lead.
We're not sure about the practicality of that last set though.

REBUS
A common phrase is represented by the image below.
Do you know what it is?

PLAY
WORDS

A play on words, the standard definition for a pun.

HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY, 2014

Happy Valentine's Day
Je t'aime  in French

Ich liebe dich   in German

Ti amo   in Italian

Eu te amo  in Portuguese

Te amo   in Spanish

However you care to say it, today is the day when a lot of people tell their significant others "I love you".

But while some commercial enterprises depend upon this day for revenue, the sentiment is one that should be expressed EVERY day to those important within your heart.

So while we encourage all lovers to (safely) express themselves now, please let those important to you know what is within your heart all the time.
