THE PUZZLE CORNER: JANUARY 10, 2025

 ðŸ˜ŽFUN FACT
It has been proven that ancient Egyptians even mummified food for the after life.

WHO AM I?
Can you identify the person (real or fictitious) based upon the clue below?
Although I wanted to be an actor, I was more successful as a carpenter before finally getting my big break.

TRIVIA TIME⌚
What is Pentheraphobia?

We’ll reveal all next weekend but for now, let’s open up THE ANSWERS BOX📦 and discover the results from the January 3, 2026 Puzzle Corner.

SUNDAY FUNNIES: ♫TAKING A BREAK FROM ALL YOUR WORRIES...♫

Hello Everybody! Piper D. Katt here!
Man, there's a lot riding on my paws today.

Besides this being my first Sunday Funnies of 2021, you folks still have a lot to deal with!
There's that mess in Washington, DC; the ongoing pandemic ðŸ˜·, and who knows what else.
It's times like these I'm really glad I'm a cat!😺
Now, I'm not really sure you can blame the year itself for all the problems everyone's facing.
After all, that would be like blaming the 1970s for disco. 😉

But it's my job to entertain you for a few minutes, and I'm just the feline for the job. Ready?

Did you know that a day on the planet Mercury is clocked at lasting roughly 1,408 hours!
Just like every Monday here on Earth, according to the people I live with.

Imagine how much noise a centipede would make if they wore tiny flip-flops.

You know what I would really like to see go viral?
Basic human decency.

I hate when I’m singing along with a song and the artist gets the words wrong.

With that in mind, here's a little ditty I'm sure everyone knows by Gary Portnay for these troubled times.
Purrsonally, I don't like the part about hanging a cat by its tail and there's plenty of social media outlets to hang out in.
Anyway... Video courtesy of YouTube and owned by whoever has the legal rights.
The Free Choice E-zine did not post it to YouTube and is just sharing a viewing in the spirit of friendship and goodwill.

And on that note♫ have a great week!
Take care.
STAY SAFE!😷
And please be back here again next weekend for more Sunday Funnies!—PDK.
All links were active at the time of posting.
Geez, that's a lot of legalese just to have a little fun!-P.

SUNDAY FUNNIES: STARTING THE NEW YEAR RIGHT...

Hello Everybody! Waxy Dragon here!

Last weekend I helped Autumn the Puppy ring in the new year. Of course, considering that episode of the Sunday Funnies was posted on January 3, so technically we were a bit late, but it WAS the first Sunday of the new year and we have no control over the calendar.

Anyway, now it's my first solo turn of 2016, so I want to kick things off right by giving everyone a positive, inspirational message to face the rest of the year ahead.

Ready?

"IF YOU CAN..."

If you can start the day without caffeine...

If you can be cheerful, ignoring aches and pains...

If you can resist complaining and boring people with your troubles...

If you can eat the same food everyday and be grateful for it...

If you can understand when loved ones are too busy to give you time...

If you can overlook when people take things out on you, even through no fault of yours, something goes wrong...

You can take criticism and blame without resentment...

If you can face the world without lies and deceit...

If you can conquer tension without medical help...

If you can relax without liquor...

And if you can sleep without the aid of drugs...

Then... you are almost as good as your dog or cat!
Something to think about folks, because the world would be a much better place if we ALL got our act(s) together.
Have a great week, and please be back here next weekend for more Sunday Funnies!—wd.
