Because each of them was guilty of purr-jury.

SUNDAY FUNNIES: HAPPY CAT DAY 2023

 Hello Everybody! Piper D. Katt here wishing everybody a HAPPY CAT DAY! 😺 Actually, the Feline Fiesta is August 8, but this was the closest Sunday to the event, so here I am.

Us Fantastic Furry Felines have a day all to ourselves, but why Odie the Dog had to debut in Garfield on Cat Day 45 years ago this month is beyond me.

In any event, ready for some Feline Fun? Well let meow tell you some great things about ourselves.

Did you know us cats are mewsically♫ inclined?

Our favorite TV show is the Claw and Order franchise.

We love Mice Crispies cereal for breakfast, or any other meal during the day.

Our favorite book/movie is The Color Purrple.

Some of us are great bowlers.🎳

What? You don't believe me? You've never heard of Alley Cats?

But it must be pointed out that you Humans do not "own" us cats.

We allow you to have the pleasure of our company.

It's mutually beneficial.

You take care of us and we'll take care of you.

After all, who else would bump your nose to wake you up at 5 in the morning when your alarm is set for later?

Who else leaves you presents to show our gratitude?

Where did you think the dead mice and other things we caught are coming from?

Who else will lay in the middle of the floor unexpectedly to test your quick thinking and agility skills?

If you'd just show us how to use that porcelain seat you sometimes occupy in the bathroom, you'd never have to change a kitty litter box again!

While sometimes fur balls might be a problem, we cats are self cleaning.

We cats can also be very purrsuasive, but let you Humans think you're in charge. 😼

You never know where we might sleep next.

Sometimes we even curl up next to you.

We are practically purrfect in every way.

Just never run out of food, toys or cat treats.

That would be a catastrophe!🙀
