SUNDAY FUNNIES: I'M ME!

Hello Everybody! Waxy Dragon here!
I hate to say this, but I'm feeling a bit down today, and blue isn't my best color.
Have you ever wondered about things?
I don't mean just the big questions in life like, "Why do we drive on a parkway and park in a driveway?" or "Have you ever noticed baloney is nothing more than hotdog pancakes?"
I'm talking about more IMPORTANT things like:
Who am I?
Why am I here?

Waxy's drawing of Bubblehead
My Dragon School teacher asked all of us what we wanted to be when we grew up.
Well, a Companion Dragon, duh!
I think I'm already doing a good job putting up with living with Bubblehead, the human I take care of.
Then again, he looks out for me too, so that makes us a family.πŸ’•

But I'm not sure what kind of an answer Ms. Fyre was looking for.
Anyone who asks me what I am going to do tomorrow, likely assumes I know what day of the week it is.
After all, I'm only a baby by dragon standards.
I've got a LONG way to go before I reach adulthood.

I may not have won any acting awards (yet), but I can certainly put on quite a performance when I want to do something Bubblehead doesn't agree with.πŸ˜‰

I may not be a spectacular athlete like a some humans are, but I have yet to see one of you people flap your arms and fly like I can.πŸ˜€

I always knock on the fridge door before I open it, just in case there’s a salad dressing.😳

I am the kind of baby companion dragon who will admit my faults, If I ever get any.πŸ˜‰

My friends say I need to work on my humility, but I have no idea why they say that.πŸ˜•

If you need something to believe in, start with yourself.

Happiness is not about getting all you want, it is about enjoying all you have.

WOW! I'm feeling better already!
And on that note♫, have a great week everybody, and please be back here again next weekend for more Sunday Funnies!—wd.

SUNDAY FUNNIES: SPRINGING FORWARD? (monologue)

Where's my hour?
*Yawn*
Hello Everybody. Waxy Dragon here.
Sorry, I'm not just my usual peppy self at the moment.
I got up this morning and originally thought that I had overslept. Which I certainly won't complain about on a weekend. πŸ˜‰
Then I remembered that I didn't get an extra hour of sleep.
The time jumped ahead one hour over night because this is the start of Daylight Saving Time.

Yes, s-a-v-i-n-g. NOT s-a-v-i-n-g-s.

But regardless of how you spell it, WHERE'S MY HOUR?

Sure, I'm supposed to get it back this Fall, but the darn thing seems to disappear earlier every Spring and come back later each Fall.
Where does it go when it's away?

Besides, what are we actually saving?
Bubblehead (the person I live with who's supposed to watch out for me, but I usually wind up taking care of him—go figure) complains about the bills enough as it is.
If he doesn't like the Bills, then maybe he should root for another football🏈 team.

Anyway, while the hour does come back eventually, it certainly doesn't come back with any interest.
Thankfully no penalties, but still no interest.
So, what DID we save?
Shouldn't we gain a few extra minutes, or at least seconds, considering we went without that extra hour for months?

And speaking of time⌚, why give up that hour in the Spring and get it back in the Fall?
After all, who wants to spend an extra hour in the middle of Winter? Except for being able to enjoy the holidays, that time of year is miserable enough as it is weather wise.
Why don't we set the clocks ahead an hour in the Fall to at least make Winter seem to go a little faster, then get the hour back in the Spring so we can enjoy it and Summer more?🌞

Okay, I'm just a baby companion dragon, but it makes sense to me!
In any event, I'm going off to see if I can find that missing hour.
Have a great week and please be back here next weekend for our annual Saint Patrick's Day☘πŸ€ edition of the Sunday Funnies!—wd.

SUNDAY FUNNIES: TELLING JOKES

Best seat in the house?
Hello Everybody! Autumn the Puppy here.

Been thinking about what I could do for this week's Sunday Funnies. August will see my Summer Reading list and more Celebrity Quotes. For now, since I have the floor, I'd thought I kick back, relax, and just tell some jokes.

So grab your favorite water dish and let's have some fun.

I've been so busy working, the battery on my laptop computer tablet died, so I had to spend time with my family. They seem like nice people.

"Psst. Did you hear...?"
A man wrote a letter to a hotel, wanting to know if he could bring his dog with him on vacation, promising "He is well groomed and well behaved."
The hotel wrote back: "We have been operating for many years. In all that time, we have never had a dog steal towels, bed clothes, silverware, or pictures off the walls. We have never had to evict a dog in the middle of the night for being drunk and disorderly, and no dog has ever run out on a hotel bill. Yes, indeed, your dog is welcome here; and if your dog will vouch for you, you're welcome to stay here too."

A man at a fancy restaurant asked if the roast beef was rare.
"No," replied the waiter. "We serve it practically every day."

Mr. Peabody?
What did the tie say to the hat?
"You go on ahead. I'm gonna hang around here."

Everyone knows the alphabet goes from A to Z. But what goes from Z to A?
ZebrA!

One of the things I find truly ironic in life is that if you are having trouble getting on line, one of your Internet provider's service options is to visit their website!
"Hey Earth. Got any spare change?"

Why are pianos so noble in character?
They are either upright or grand.

Why does the moon go to the bank?
To change quarters!

And on that note, have a great week everybody, and please be back here next weekend for more Sunday Funnies!--AtP.
