Where's my hour? |
Hello Everybody. Waxy Dragon here.
Sorry, I'm not just my usual peppy self at the moment.
I got up this morning and originally thought that I had overslept. Which I certainly won't complain about on a weekend. ๐
Then I remembered that I didn't get an extra hour of sleep.
The time jumped ahead one hour over night because this is the start of Daylight Saving Time.
Yes, s-a-v-i-n-g. NOT s-a-v-i-n-g-s.
But regardless of how you spell it, WHERE'S MY HOUR?
Sure, I'm supposed to get it back this Fall, but the darn thing seems to disappear earlier every Spring and come back later each Fall.
Where does it go when it's away?
Besides, what are we actually saving?
Bubblehead (the person I live with who's supposed to watch out for me, but I usually wind up taking care of him—go figure) complains about the bills enough as it is.
If he doesn't like the Bills, then maybe he should root for another football๐ team.
Anyway, while the hour does come back eventually, it certainly doesn't come back with any interest.
Thankfully no penalties, but still no interest.
So, what DID we save?
Shouldn't we gain a few extra minutes, or at least seconds, considering we went without that extra hour for months?
And speaking of time⌚, why give up that hour in the Spring and get it back in the Fall?
After all, who wants to spend an extra hour in the middle of Winter? Except for being able to enjoy the holidays, that time of year is miserable enough as it is weather wise.
Why don't we set the clocks ahead an hour in the Fall to at least make Winter seem to go a little faster, then get the hour back in the Spring so we can enjoy it and Summer more?๐
Okay, I'm just a baby companion dragon, but it makes sense to me!
In any event, I'm going off to see if I can find that missing hour.
Have a great week and please be back here next weekend for our annual Saint Patrick's Day☘๐ edition of the Sunday Funnies!—wd.
