*United States President Barack Obama visited Cuba on a diplomatic mission, the first to do so since President Calvin Coolidge in 1928. He met with Raul Castro to discuss renewed relations between the two countries.
*The Rolling Stones hold the honor of being the first Western music group to perform in Cuba since diplomatic relations have resumed.
*North Korea is still firing "test missiles" into the Sea of Japan.
*Denis Sassou Nguesso has been re-elected President of the Republic of the Congo.
*Despite an opposition boycott, Mahamadou Issoufou has been re-elected President of Niger.
*New Zealand voters have decided to keep their country's current flag.
*The Independent newspaper of Britain has published its last edition.


TERRIBLE TERRORIST ACTIVITIES...
*At least 34 people were killed and more than 270 injured in attacks at Brussels Airport and Maelbeek metro station. Six suspects in the "incidents" have since been arrested, but no terrorist affiliation has been claimed yet.

*Comedian Garry Shandling has taken his last bow on life's stage.
*Rapper Phife Dawg (aka Malik Izaak Taylor) from A Tribe Called Quest is no longer with us.
*Actor Ken Howard (1776, The White Shadow) has taken his last bow on life's stage.
*Actress/film maker Rita Gam (Klute, No Exit, The Thief) has passed away.
*Actor Peter Brown (Lawman, Laredo, Foxy Brown) has taken his last bow on life's stage.
*Famous professional baseball player and TV personality Joe Garagiola, Senior is no longer with us.
*Actor David Smyrl (Mr. Handford on Sesame Street) has taken his last bow on life's stage.
*Famous TV writer/producer Earl Hamner, Junior (The Waltons, Falcon Crest, The Twilight Zone) has passed away.
*Actor Richard Brandford (The Untouchables, Man in a Suitcase, Cagney & Lacey) has taken his last bow on life's stage.

WITHIN THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA...
POLITICALLY...

*Donald Trump won the Arizona Republican Primary while Hilary Clinton the Democratic, although an investigation into proceedings are now underway, for many registered voters were listed incorrectly.
*Bernie Sanders was the Democratic victor in the Idaho and Utah Democratic primaries while Ted Cruz won the Republican contests in both states.
*Donald Trump has apparently lost his phone interview privileges with CBS and NBC.
*Although Ted Cruz has been winning legal battles to stay on the ballot despite being born in Canada to a Puerto Rican father and an American mother, an impending/alleged sex scandal may harm his campaign and Presidential hopes.

*If Georgia's new anti-gay/"religious liberty" bill becomes law, the state may lose their chance to host an upcoming Super Bowl.
*Starbucks has announced it will donate all its unsold food to charity.
