SUNDAY FUNNIES: LATE LAMENT & OTHER MONKEY BUSINESS

Hello Everybody! Your humble Editor-In-Chief Lee Houston, Junior here because our regular Sunday Funnies hostesses Autumn the Puppy and Waxy Dragon are finishing up their Thanksgiving holiday weekend with their respective families.

Before I get to some jokes, there is one order of business that must be taken care of first.
A lot of our loyal readers have e-mailed since Friday morning, wondering where our annual "Ode To Black Friday" is.
Well, part of the point of the TOO COMMERCIAL (2018) editorial that ran November 21 was asking the question, "With the current holiday season market trends, does Black Friday even still exist?"
Right now, I'm tempted to say "no".
The number of 24 hour/open Thanksgiving businesses might be smaller than those who were actually closed so their employees could spend holiday time with their families, but the open group were certainly the loudest, especially when it came to advertising.
But to please our loyal readership, here is the requested poem making its annual, although belated appearance.

AN ODE TO BLACK FRIDAY...
SOME DARE BRAVE THE GLOOM OF BLACKEST NIGHT,🌑
QUESTING FOR BARGAINS UPON THEIR TREK,
TO HIT EVERY SALE BEFORE DAYLIGHT.🌅

ME? I PLANNED WELL AHEAD.
NO NERVES, CREDIT, OR CAR SUFFERED WRECK.
JUST RESTFUL SLUMBER😴 WITHIN MY OWN BED.🛌💤

Now then, we still have time for a few jokes. Ready?

I cannot understand why people cry when chopping onions. Personally, I find it better not to get emotionally attached to any vegetable.

Considering the state of the world in regards to some people, I wonder if the ultimate Christmas gift would be a mirror with Photoshop capabilities.

Whenever I try to eat healthy, chocolate bars look at me and snicker.

And on that note♫, I sincerely hope everyone didn't overindulge too badly and have got their leftover poultry-giest 🦃situation under control.
Have a great week and one of the ladies WILL be back next weekend for more Sunday Funnies!—lh,jr.
