But besides Superman, Action Comics #1 was also the debuts for Chuck Dawson (a western), Zatara the Magician, Pep Morgan, reporter Scoop Scanlon, detective Tex Thompson and the serialization of Marco Polo’s adventures, among other features. Only Zatara, father of Zatanna the Magician, had any kind of a long career besides Superman.
