THE PUZZLE CORNER: SEPTEMBER 29, 2012

Another weekend is upon us, and puzzle fans know what that means!

COMMON BONDS
The items in each subset have something in common. Do you know what it is?
01. {Gene Kelly, B. J. Thomas}
02. {January, April, May, June}

TRIVIA TIME
The March of Dimes organization was originally founded under what name?

We'll reveal all next weekend. But for now, let's declassify THE ANSWERS BOX and discover the results of our James Bond quiz from the September 22 Puzzle Corner.

001. While Doctor No was the first movie, it was actually the sixth book written by Ian Fleming.
002. The first two movies, Doctor No and From Russia, With Love are the only Bond films that Fleming got to see personally. He passed away before the third, Thunderball, debuted.
003. The movie franchise's first Oscar win was for Best Sound Effects on Goldfinger.
004. Casino Royale was originally filmed as a comedy. A serious adaptation was not done until Daniel Craig starred as Bond in 2006. But you have to love the Herb Alpert and the Tijuana Brass score to the 1967 classic.
005. Richard Kiel has played Jaws in both 1977's The Spy Who Loved Me and 1979's Moonraker.
006. Queen Elizabeth was the Bond girl at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London, England.
007. The Double "00" designation is a (British) government sanctioned License To Kill.
