THE WEEK IN REVIEW: NOVEMBER 25-DECEMBER 1, 2012

TODAY IS WORLD AIDS AWARENESS DAY.  

The Burger King Corporation is celebrating the 55th anniversary of the Whopper.
December 7 is the 71st anniversary of the bombing of Pearl Harbor, the catalyst for America entering the second World War.

Amongst events happening around the world this past week:
*North Korea has threatened to conduct another rocket test soon.
*After getting approval from a bankruptcy judge to shut down Hostess and sell the company, the executives between the investment bank and two hedgefund companies that currently own the company has just discovered that they have to get in line with the rest of the outstanding creditors in hopes of collecting their 2012 bonuses, despite the fact that they are the ones who created the situation to begin with!
*The United Nations has granted Palestine non-voting/observer state status.
*Scott Kelly and Mikhail Korniyenko have been chosen to serve in a year long mission on the International Space Station in 2015.
*NASA's MESSENGER probe has concluded that there IS more than likely frozen ice beneath the polar caps of Mercury!
*Civil unrest continues in Syria.
