*The Republican Party maintained its majority control of both the House and Senate in Congress.
*While protests over the election results were to be expected regardless of the outcome, it is surprising how much of a cultural and social divide is developing over Trump’s victory both within the United States (#notmypresident) and abroad.
*Among the known or suspected items on the agenda for the first 100 days of the forthcoming administration include repealing both The Affordable Health Care Act (aka “Obama Care”) and the Dodd/Frank Fiance Reform Act; “fixing” Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, and other social programs. (There are 2 different links in that item.)
*The business world is reacting to the impending Trump Presidency too.
*North Korea's reaction to the impending Trump Presidency.
MEANWHILE…
*“Recreational” marijuana will soon be legal in California, Massachusetts, and Nevada; while medical marijuana will soon be available for those in need within Arkansas, Florida, and North Dakota by prescription.
*The Supreme Court will soon be hearing arguments in a case concerning the status of a child when one parent is an American citizen while the other isn’t. The Court is still one justice short because of Republican stonewalling over not wanting to consider any nominees of current President Barack Obama.
*What are the Democrats chances in 2018 and beyond???
