AMONGST EVENTS AROUND THE WORLD THIS PAST WEEK…
*America’s National Aeronautics and Space Administration along with the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration and the Meteorological Office of the United Kingdom all agree that 2016 was the warmest year on record, to date.
*Paris was the host city of a summit in hopes of restoring peace between Israel and Palestine, but neither side came to talk!
*In a national address, British Prime Minister Theresa May announced there will soon (hopefully) be a clean "Brexit" from the European Union but England will NOT be abandoning its allies.
*Ontario, Canada has officially told the Nestle Corporation that they can NOT take water from areas experiencing drought conditions in their province.
*The Ukraine has officially sued Russia in the International Court of Justice, saying Russia has sponsored aggressive acts against them in the Ukraine and Crimea.
*The Plasco Building collapsed during a fire in Tehran, Iran. While the building was evacuated, 30 firefighters have been killed in the collapse. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
*The Ringling Brothers/Barnum & Bailey Circus will officially fold up its tents and close for good at the end of May 2017.
*Scientists have developed a new form of hydrogen that almost reaches absolute zero.

*While bombs are still the primary weapon of choice, ISIL militants executed 12 people in Palmyra, Syria.

POLITICALLY: THE INAUGURATION…
*Donald Trump is now officially the 45th President of the United States. His children will manage, but not own, all his businesses while Trump is in office.
*Trump's known positions and statements like "America first" made during his inauguration speech have many Americans as well as this country's allies concerned, with even Pope Francis and the hacker collective known as Anonymous commenting as he enters the White House with low poll numbers. *So why is there suddenly an ad on the official White House government website promoting Melina Trump's modeling and jewelry line???
*While Trump has just nominated Sonny Perdue as Secretary of Agriculture with his unannounced Economic Advisers needed to complete his cabinet, so far only John Kelly as Secretary of Homeland Security and James Mattis as Secretary of Defense have been confirmed as many of the nominees face ethical questions.
*President Donald Trump has nominated New York Jets owner Woody Johnson of professional football to be the next United States Ambassador to the United Kingdom.

*As his administration draws to a close, Barack Obama has commuted the sentences of Chelsea Manning, Oscar Lopez Riveria, and others.
