HAPPY FOURTH OF JULY, 2014

THE FOLLOWING IS AN EDITORIAL.

Today the United States of America celebrates the 238th anniversary of declaring ourselves an independent nation.
There are many things that can and will be said about this event, but I cannot help wondering what the founding fathers would think of this country today.
There are many issues that need to be addressed, for some say that America has lost its way, thinking more about personal and corporate gains financially and otherwise instead of the individual citizens.
I cannot disagree with the above statement, and those problems do need to be addressed by politicians willing to work for the people for the good of this country and not advancing their own agendas.

However, this is still a holiday. A time when families and friends should be able to gather peacefully for a chance to kick back and relax away from the stress and turmoil of life.

So enjoy the moment, and please remember those who fought for the rights and freedoms you have now, because tomorrow....?
