*Saudi Arabia’s King Salman has changed his mind in regards to who should be Crown Prince.
*Turkey has decided to stop teaching the theory of evolution to students until they reach college.
*The European Space Agency has approved construction of the PLATO Deep Space Observatory.
*José Eduardo Agualusa has won the 2017 International Dublin Literary Award for his novel A General Theory of Oblivion.
*A previously unknown collection of World War 2 era Nazi artifacts has been found in Argentina.
*Pakistan has won the 2017 ICC Cricket Championship.
*The Ken doll will soon be getting a makeover.
*"Dead" galaxies might actually be "flat". Who knew?

IN ENGLAND…
*The unidentified driver of a van that decided to start crashing into people in front of the Finsbury Park Mosque has been arrested. While authorities are investigating the matter as a terrorist attack, no group has yet to officially claim responsibility.
*Authorities are investigating a cyber attack against the Houses of Parliament after an unsuccessful attempt by parties unknown to gain access to politicians' e-mail accounts.
*Negotiations for Great Britain's departure from the European Union have officially begun. Any EU citizen living in Great Britain shall be given “UK Settled” status once the separation is finalized. (There are 2 separate links in this item.)

THE RUSSIAN REPORT...
*The European Court of Human Rights has ruled that Russia’s “gay propaganda” law actually promotes homophobia and prejudice while violating freedom of speech rights.
*The Russian Central Election Commission has officially barred Opposition leader Alexei Navalny from running in that country's 2018 Presidential election.

CONCERNING NORTH KOREA…
*North Korea has had more defectors than it is willing to admit to.
*Meanwhile, it returned Otto Warmbier to the United States after holding him for over 17 months. The college student died within days of his arrival. An investigation is underway.
*Young Pioneer Tours, which originally scheduled Warmbier’s visit to North Korea as “an educational experience” will no longer promote tourism in that country.

*Bombs are still the terrorists’ primary weapon of choice in the Middle East.

*Six members of President Trump’s advisory board concerning HIV and AIDS have resigned, saying that Trump actually doesn’t care about the ill, has no strategy to address the issues, and actually supports legislation that would hinder the fight against the diseases. *As the probes continue, Donald Trump says he never recorded any conversations with former FBI Director James Comey.
*The only real beneficiary of President Trump's new ideas concerning housing aid might be Donald Trump himself.
*President Trump's idea for a "new" law has already existed for over 20 years.
*If the Russians did meddle in the 2016 Presidential election, Donald Trump knows who to criticize for the breach of national security.
*If President Trump ever does get to build his wall along the Mexican border, it will include solar panels.

*A Pro-Trump group has started buying ads AGAINST a Republican who DOESN'T support the proposed health care plan!
*Considering over $56 million dollars was spent, Republican Karen Handel “won” what many consider the “bought” Congressional seat in Georgia made vacant when Tom Price became President Trump’s Secretary of Health and Human Service.
*Republican Ralph Norman won the Congressional seat from South Carolina made vacant when Mick Mulvaney became President Trump’s Director of the Office of Management and Budget, but some analysts are saying this victory was only because of the recently redrawn district boundaries in the Republicans’ favor.

*Tropical Storm Cindy struck Alabama, bringing torrential down pours and wind.
*A new Internet leak has been discovered in America, but no one’s certain at this time about its long term consequences.
