SUNDAY FUNNIES: OF HEARTS AND FOOTBALLS: 2025 EDITION

Hello Everybody!
Today you have both Piper D. Katt AND Koda Canine here as we have a double themed Sunday Funnies for you!

That's right Piper because while Valentine's Day 💕is this coming Friday February 14, tonight is the annual showdown of the Super Bowl, I mean—the Big Game🏈 because we're not an official sponsor of the event.

It's okay Koda. If we were talking a food bowl, I'd be all over it but I've never really gotten into football.

Me neither because they bounce funny and taste awful despite allegedly being made out of pigskin.

In any event, it's time for the jokes. Ready? Hut one! Hut two!

What hut? Where? I'm not going outside in this cold weather!

JOKE TIME!

I had a wonderful date last night.
Tonight I will try a Fig.

Where do you find love in a grocery store?
Aisle B… there for you.

What did the snail🐌 say on Valentine's Day when his call went to voicemail?
♫I just crawled to say I love you.♫

What did the paper clip📎 say to the magnet?🧲
"I find you very attractive."

And of course, since there is a humongous football🏈 game later tonight as we post this, let's not forget that classic comedy routine by Andy Griffith, What It Was, Was Football.
As usual, we present the following YouTube video (which we did not create or post but are sharing in the spirit of friendly entertainment) featuring Mr. Griffith performing his routine with the accompanying illustrations by G. Woodbridge from when it was adapted for Mad magazine.

And remember: In a relationship, you just can't do what you want. You always have to think about how it will effect your partner.💑

So on that note♫, take care.
STAY SAFE!
Have a great week and one of us will be back next weekend with more Sunday Funnies!—PDK & KC.

SUNDAY FUNNIES: OF HEARTS AND FOOTBALLS, 2023 EDITION

HELLO EVERYBODY!

Today you have both Piper D. Katt AND Koda Canine with you as we discuss both the Super Bowl—what a food dish that would be—that's played later today and Valentine's Day💕, which is this Tuesday February 14.

That's right Piper. You know, Love is a funny thing, but nothing to laugh at.
Yet here we are, about to tell jokes about both it and that big football🏈 game the humans are having.
Personally, I don't see what the attraction is. That ball is such an odd shape and probably doesn't tastes good to begin with.

Yeah, and since we’re not an official $pon$or, we can’t use the game's actual name any more in this post.
But that’s not going to stop the jokes folks. So let’s get right to them!
First up, a tradition began with our late mentor Autumn "the Puppy".

She initiated our annual Big Game video presentation of Andy Griffith’s comedy classic “What It Was, Was Football”, accompanied with the illustrations from Mad magazine's 1958 adaptation by George Woodbridge, courtesy of YouTube.

Now as we said earlier, love is no laughing matter, although there are plenty of people who do joke about it.
One of those is the great "Weird" Al Yankovic, as shown in his song ♫If That Isn't Love?♫ from the Alpocalypse album.

And remember folks. We didn't create the videos or the material within, let alone post them on YouTube. We're only sharing them with our fans.

That's right. As for love itself, let us quote someone more famous than ourselves about the subject, as seen in the image on the right.

So on that note♫, take care.

SUNDAY FUNNIES: OF HEARTS AND FOOTBALL

AND NOW, TOGETHER FOR THE FIRST TIME EVER ON THE SUNDAY FUNNIES...

Meow l'amour.
This ball, does it taste good?
 PIPER D. KATT
AND
KODA CANNINE!

Hello and Welcome Everybody. We certainly have an unique opportunity here today.

That's right Piper. Tomorrow is Valentines' Day,💕 although love should be all year round.

I agree Koda, but today is that "Big Game" all the football🏈 players and fans work themselves up to.

That's odd. Isn't those International Winter Games still going on too?

You mean the ones where some countries aren't attending because of the Host Country's poor ideas of Democracy and Human Rights while others aren't participating because of the current pandemic?

Yep. It's bad enough having to beat around the bush using alternate names since The Free Choice E-zine isn't an official sponsor of any of the sports events.

True, but it wouldn't be The Sunday Funnies without some jokes, so here we go!

What did one boat say to another?
"Are you up for a little row-mance?"

What did the receiver say to the football?
"Catch you later."

How did the telephone propose to his girlfriend?
He gave her a ring.

Do you have a date for Valentine's Day?
Yeah, February 14th.😉

Do hungry players eat at The Supper Bowl?

What happened when the vampires started dating?
It was love at first bite!

What did the football say to the punter?
"I get a kick out of you."

Isn't that also a song cue?
Maybe, but before we go, let us close with our annual traditional.
Courtesy of YouTube, here's Andy Griffith and his classic routine "What it was, was football"!
Complete with the original George Woodbridge illustrations from Mad magazine's adaptation.

So on that note♫, take care everybody!
