*If conditions don't improve, the world may lose up to TWO-THIRDS of its wild animal population by 2020!
*Author Paul Beatty won the Man Booker Prize for his novel The Sellout.
*The Hokkaido Nippon-Ham Fighters defeated the Hiroshima Toyo Carp to win the Japan Series of International professional baseball.
