*World travelers have been warned that the remains of Al Qaeda could be reforming and planning new terrorist attacks.
*Israel and Palestine will soon resume peace negotiations.
*Alleged NSA traitor Edward Snowden has been granted temporary asylum (1 year) in Russia.
*The new Lavasoa dwarf lemur primate has been discovered in Madagascar.
*Mamnoon Hussain is the new President of Pakistan.
*Hun Sen has been elected Prime Minister of Cambodia.
*Whoever (no pun intended) will be cast as the next Doctor Who will be announced during a live telecast at 7pm London time Sunday night.
*India is making plans to create the new state of Telangana within that country.
*Vietnam is considering the possibility of legalizing same gender marriages within that country.
*Civil unrest continues in Iraq, Pakistan, Syria, Nigeria, and Afghanistan.

WITHIN THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA...
*Although acquitted on charges of aiding and abetting the enemy, Bradley Manning was found guilty on 5 counts of theft and espionage for giving classified information to WikiLeaks.
*JP Morgan Chase has agreed to pay $410 million US dollars in fines for manipulating the energy markets of California and the Midwest.
*Minnesota and Rhode Island are now allowing same-gender marriages.
*Actor Michael Ansara (Broken Arrow, Law of the Plainsman, etc) has passed away at age 91. Amongst his accomplishments is being one of the few performers to portray the same character on multiple Star Trek series.
